VENUS'S LACE

The Slovenian Idrija lace astounds with curves and sophisticated interlacing of thousands of hand-made bobbin lace making of Idria lace.

Cooperation among Lace making school Idrija and E2RD resulted in public domain lace, made of metallised yarn that enables lace to undulates gently in emphasises the shape of earrings.

The shape of the Venus earring exudes peculiarity, and the selected materials and craftsmanship empower her “curves” with an even greater meaning. Venus’ production technique is hand-hooked Idrija lace – a centuries-old Slovenian cultural heritage, which, with the subtle interweaving of thousands of threads, creates a contemporary urban Venus, giving her an authentic, antique and “green” character. The collection is developing in collaboration with the Idrija lace school, which has existed since 1876, and with Maja Svetlik, the Idrija lace pattern designer.

Venus Boy, men’s decorative handkerchief

The unique Venus Boy handkerchief is a special treat created for men’s suits. Its body is woven from hand-spun linen or wool threads, with a carefully embroidered lace Venus at one edge.
